Capital Campaign

of Sayre Historical Society

A goal of $450,000 over three years was announced at the kickoff on July 3, 2007, of “Telling Sayre’s Story”, the capital campaign for the Sayre Historical Society Museum.  Campaign proceeds will fund the design and build of the museum.  Mark Stensager, CEO of Guthrie Healthcare System, provided the event highlight by presenting a Guthrie kickoff donation of $50,000.

An Honorary Advisory Committee composed of community and business leaders as well as former Society presidents and board members will provide counsel to the campaign.

The Appeal Letter to members of the Society and of the community explains the purpose of the campaign and ways to participate.

Naming Opportunities list museum areas set aside for larger donations.  Please contact a representative of the Campaign Steering Committee for further information.

A Statement of Intent providing levels and giving and other donor information may be printed off the website, completed and mailed to the Society.

Thermometers at the museum, at Howard Elmer Park and on this website will track progress (see image on right).
