Sayre Historical Society
"Telling Sayre’s story” in 2010

“The design of the Redman-Stephens exhibit gallery has progressed to the point that we now have a scale model layout of the exhibit and script for the content of the various displays. Here comes the disappointment – the project needs $35,000 to see completion. Currently we have raised $45,000 through the generous support of society members, residents of the Valley and local businesses supporting the society’s three-year capital campaign and the annual building fund drive. Due to the economy, state grants have been eliminated for 2009 and 2010, and other funding sources are extremely elusive. We will be working diligently in 2010 to secure the remaining $35,000 needed to complete our second gallery. The Redman-Stephens gallery will be devoted to Lehigh Valley Railroad and railroad shops exhibits. There will be several interactive exhibits that will provide an entertaining and educational experience for visitors of all ages.

“We invite you to join us in this exciting journey as we continue to develop a museum that will be a showcase in the Valley…”
—President Ken Bracken
